As 2014 comes to an end, more Street Art and mural work has been added to the sides of buildings, in stairwells and other diverse locations throughout the city. Following is a “selfie” slideshow of my whirlwind tour of many of them, all in one morning. Following that is map of all of those murals that I know of in Lexington. As I discover more, I will add more.

This is a second painting by G Murphy, an hourglass with a snail on top. I don't know much more about this one. Don't know much about this owl art on the wall at West Sixth Brewery, but it is unique Sarah Heller was commissioned by LexArts in 2012 to do this work through an eco-art grant. It is on the side of West 6th brewery. This is one of three wall paintings by Paul Bloas from Brest, France. It is located in the Lexington Distillery District on an outside wall near Barrel House Distillery I came across the PRHBTN truck near N. Limestone and Loudon Ave. The current art on the truck was added in October 2014 This is Lexington's largest street art mural, painted by famed French street artist MTO. Measuring 75 ft tall by 270 ft wide, this massive painting was part of the 2014 PRHBTN project This huge mural is on Water Street on the back of the Kentucky Theatre. Painted by Brazilian Street Artist Eduardo Kobra in 2013 for the PRHBTN project, it has drawn national attention This is a Telescopic Eye painted high up on a Water Tower (thus no selfie). It was done by English street artist Phlegm during his visit to the PRHBTN project in 2014 and is located in the Lexington Distillery District. ROA's classic monochromatic style is striking in this bison painting just off of North Broadway in Lexington. ROA added this as part of the 2014 PRHBTN Project 'Lily and the Silly Monkeys' is an amazing large story mural by the Herakut team from Germany. One of two large "Street Art" murals by Herakut, this was done in 2012 as part of the PRHBTN “In the Market for Music” on Lexington’s Southland Drive by Michael Burrell This is a mural by Britt Spencer. It is located on Short Street and is a whimsical look at Lexington There are four murals depicting public transportation at the LexTran bus barn off of Loudon Ave. in Lexington. This piece was done for the LexArts Outdoor Murals Project in 2012. Origami birds take flight across a building on Washington St., near Loudon and N. Broadway. The "Origami Tsunami" was painted by Lexington design house BroCoLoco in July 2014 This mural is painted on the side of the old Rescue Mission wall by the railroad tracks on N. Limestone near Loudon Ave. Portugese street artist Odeith painted this as part of the 2013 PRHBTN project Chicago street artist Left Handed Wave dropped into Lexington in October 2014 to visit the 2014 PRHBTN festivities and left his famous mark on the front of the old rescue mission. 'A Tradition of Music on North Limestone' by Michael Burrell is one of two music-centric murals in Lexington, this one was focused on the history of blues music in the Limestone area and is part of the LexArts program 'Where Dreams Come From' by the two person street art team from Germany named HERAKUT. This was the second of the large Herakut murals, painted as part of the 2012 PRHBTN program The whimsically magical shop called Third Street Stuff has a variety of small wall art both inside and out. This is a portion of the fun. This piece is on a wall across from the Third Street Stuff parking lot and is all about taking care of children. I am not sure who the artist is. In 'Know Your History,' Sundiata Rashid tried to capture the essence of the Race St. neighborhood with this 2012 painting. Located on Race St. and Third Street. "The Night Watchers" by Andrew Hem is one of a number of large street art murals that can be seen along Short Street in downtown Lexington. This work was done as part of the PRHBTN 2014 project. Eastern Kentucky artist Lacy Hale and her brother Seth painted this colorful "Tulip Poplar" on commission from LexPark, Saul Good Restaurant and others. It is on a stairwell entrance to the Victorian Square parking garage near Main and Broadway. Painted in 2014. I have no idea who did this painting on a garage at DC Electrical, which is on Manchester across the street from the Barrel House Distillery This Dead Bee monochromatic painting was added by Ghent, Belgium street artist ROA during the 2014 PRHBTN project. It sits on the side of an old cement water well near the Barrel House distillery Twin brothers How and Nosm, street artists originally from Spain, is on the backside of the LexPark Garage, just near the entrance off of Short Street. It rivals the size of the Abraham Lincoln mural. This was part of the 2014 PRHBTN project.
